Sciatic nerve is the largest and the main nerve that is in your leg. It goes from the base of the spine and along the back of your thigh and down to the knee and into your foot. It is a condition that recurs at intervals and seems to get worse as time goes on.A burning feeling tingling or numbness in the legs, sometimes it can be accompanied with lower back pain. This can add up to a decrease in your mobility and can restrict your everyday activities. The degree of Sciatica symptoms depend on the pressure exerted on the nerve and your pain threshold, it also depends on whether it is a reccuring episode or the first time you are suffering with Sciatica.From young to early middle-aged people the commonest cause of Sciatica is a prolapsed disc. Later in life the changes to your spine due to a condition such as Osteoarthritis could be responsible for sciatica. The pain may be felt in the buttock, right down the back of the leg and below the knee and in the foot. Sciatica pain can be mild or severe; it may be persistent or come in spasms. Sciatica can just be simple caused by sitting in an awkward position.
